From the address to the door
Which is the correct entrance? Is there a lift? Where is the key? Which key opens each lock?
We record the steps in the order the guest will follow them. Where helpful, we use clear reference photos.
Choosing a suitable entry method
A secure key safe, a smart lock or another agreed handover process may be appropriate. The choice needs to be practical for the guest and compatible with the building.
Equipment and installation are considered separately when required. Any permissions or consents must be confirmed before installation.
Self check-in needs support
Self check-in lets guests follow the entry process without an arranged in-person handover.
For it to work smoothly, we need arrival-time information, clear instructions and an available contact method if something goes wrong.
We also assess whether an alternative entry method is needed so a malfunction can be handled in an organised way.
Protecting access information
Instructions and codes are shared with the people who need them, at the appropriate time.
We agree how keys, copies and code changes are managed. Automatic expiry and remote management depend on the property's equipment.
After departure
The preparation check includes key return and making sure the property is secure.
Partners know what to collect and what to report if anything is lost or faulty. If technical work is needed, the agreed notification and approval process applies.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a smart lock?
Not necessarily. A key safe or another agreed handover process may suit the property. We check the space and building arrangements before recommending an entry method.
What happens if the guest cannot get in?
We check where the difficulty lies and provide guidance. If instructions do not resolve the problem, we check the available alternative way in and coordinate a visit or technician according to our agreement.
Who pays for equipment or a lock change?
Equipment purchases and lock changes are additional expenses, separate from the 14% management fee. You receive a quote; once you approve it, we organise the work and charge the agreed amount to your card 3 days before the scheduled work.
